How To Practice Self Love This Winter

Hey hey my loyal LOJ readers! I’m super excited about wiring this post. But I want to first reiterate that practicing self love should occur everyday and every season, not just winter! With that being said, winter can pose to be the most difficult time for some of us. The sun just isn’t out as much and it’s super cold (depending on where you are). Again, for those of you who are in warmer climates please just leave….JUST KIDDING OF COURSE 🙂

So let’s get started!

1. Move your body

I’ve come to learnt that moving doesn’t have to be a long hour or two at the gym, it comes in many forms. Walking, jogging, or a twenty minute yoga or HIIT class! When it’s cold out, many of us just want to curl up and stay inside and stagnant. Don’t do this! If you’re afraid to brave the cold then do a workout in the comfort of your warm home.

2. Compliment yourself

This goes hand in hand with staying positive (see my previous blog posts if you want more). Look at yourself each day and give yourself a compliment. It could be as small as “I’m having a great skin day” to “I’m a great listener and friend”.

3. Make time for “you time”

Everybody needs their alone time sometimes and it really helps to recharge yourself! Whether that be once a week, once a night, make sure you take time to be alone, reflect, or do something you love.

And that’s all I got folks! I really hope these three small tips helped you out and I hope to hear from some of you on how you practice self love! 💕
