Welcome back guys! and for those of you who are new, then welcome! As most of you out there who love brunch as much as I do, then you know that brunch now a days isn’t just about the food anymore; it’s about catching up with friends, having some fun after a busy week, or maybe even a remedy after a crazy night. Sometimes it can get very pricey if you don’t enter into it with a plan. And lucky for you guys I’ve curated a unique list of tips and tricks on how to not break the bank while brunching on a weekend.
Here we go!
Before Arriving to brunch
- First thing you have to do is take a look at the menu before the day of brunch. How do the prices look? Are sides extra money or are they included in the price? Are there specials for brunch cocktails at a certain hour or are drinks full price? these are all things you need to analyze
- After scanning the menu and deciphering what is more costly than others, make a game plan of what you will order. You read that correct guys…make sure you already figure out what you will order!
- [JOJO TRICK: Sometimes it’s best to stick to the classics if you’re on a budget. For example now a days a simple eggs Benedict is cost effective, or you can do a basic 2 eggs on a bed of greens with bacon and a side of bread with some hollandaise sauce on top. Keep it simple but don’t skimp on creativity guys]
Sitting Down for Brunch
- It’s finally the day! The biggest piece of advice here is to STICK with your predetermined choices and DO NOT STRAY.
- [JOJO TRICK: You can stray if you get creative. If you know you’d rather spend money on a few more mimosa’s then skimp on that side of avocado or bacon. If you want to go heavy on the food then ball out (on a budget) and only get one drink]
- When you order, make sure to tell the waiter you want a separate check so that you don’t have to worry about splitting it or venmoing anyone your share!
- [JOJO TRICK: A separate bill reduces the risk of overspending because if it were on someone else’s card, you could not be cognizant of what you’re spending]
Enjoy Brunch!
Keeping all of those tips in mind, now you can sit pretty and wait for your cocktails and food to come out knowing you stuck to your plan and you can enjoy brunch!
